Rosemary Pear Mocktail
My four-year old Samoyed, Huxley, absolutely loves fruit. Especially apples and pears. If he hears me bite into an apple, he will race across the house to find the bounty. He knows, like me, that fall harvest flavors are so comforting. A wholesome treat. We try not to feed him any table scraps, but he always gets a little bit of an apple or a pear. And you can bet he followed me around eyeing this delicious pear drink.
Recipe:
3 oz pear juice or nectar
Juice of half a lemon
2 tablespoon rosemary simple syrup
Splash of sparking water
Rosemary sprig and slice of pear, for garnish
Add pear juice, lemon juice, and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake it up! Pour into a glass, add a splash of sparkling water, (I used pear/peach La Croix) and a slice of pear and sprig of rosemary for garnish.
Rosemary simple syrup recipe:
½ cup sugar
½ cup water
5 sprigs of rosemary, de-stemmed
Boil water, add sugar and whisk until dissolved. Add rosemary and mix. Let cool overnight, and strain into a bottle or jar.
