Episode 301: Taking the Big Leap: From Amazon Leader to Alcohol-Free Trailblazer with Jaime Andersen

Have you ever looked around at your career – the meetings, the inbox, the constant striving, and thought, is this really it?

This is exactly how Jaime Andersen felt. An alum of Euphoric’s 5X certification program who  transitioned from a top-ranking position at Amazon to an alcohol-free trailblazer, she spent more than 20 years in the tech scene, climbing the ranks and thriving in a performance-driven world.

Like so many of us, she used alcohol to cope with the pressure, until she realized it was the very thing keeping her stuck.

Going alcohol-free allowed Jaime to flourish, unlocking new levels of confidence and joy at work and at home. She was receiving dreamy promotions and bigger projects… but her heart kept pulling toward her true passion to empower women.

I am obsessed with sharing the stories of women who persevered in their alcohol-free journeys and in pursuing their dreams, and Jaime is the perfect example of this. Her story is proof that the path toward entrepreneurship can be just as wavy and convoluted as the path to going alcohol-free – and it is SO worth it.

IN THIS EPISODE:

  • Jamie’s leap from working 60-hour weeks as a top Amazon leader to launching her purpose-driven, alcohol-free coaching business

  • How going alcohol-free supercharged Jamie’s performance at Amazon, but also sparked a deeper calling to help other women

  • The nuts and bolts of the transition: conversations with her partner, letting go of a steady paycheck, and designing her own schedule to be truly present with her family

  • Jamie’s top advice and lessons for high-achieving women, including how to turn your corporate skills into entrepreneurial gold

REFLECTION QUESTION

Reflect on any passions or callings that keep resurfacing, even if your current lifestyle or job feels comfortable. What does your inner voice keep nudging you toward, and what would it look like to listen to it fully?

“At Amazon, a lot of the time, you're in this role and that's your role. You can’t take responsibility outside your scope. I like that now I'm my own Chief Marketing Officer. I'm also my CFO. I'm doing all the things and I feel like it's actually making me a more well-rounded individual, a better entrepreneur because I'm doing all the things and I'm learning so much more.”  - Jaime Andersen

No matter if you are trying to transition out of a job or you're curious about being alcohol-free, take one little action today, and just keep going. For me it was all about continuing to push through really kind of figuring out what I want and just going for it. It's not going to always be easy. There's always going to be different curves in the road. But honestly, figure out literally what your heart wants and just go for it, because everybody is meant to have the life of their dreams.” - Jaime Andersen
