Episode 288: 12 Months After Ditching Alcohol, She Walked Away From 25 Years in Corporate to Build Her Dream Company with Monica Hardy

One year after Monica Hardy went alcohol-free, she left a 25-year corporate career to launch Lux Powerhouse Coaching and Consulting – a thriving business with international retreats, high-ticket clients, and a mission to empower purpose-driven leaders.

In this episode, Monica shares how she went from employee to empowered CEO, and the EXACT steps that helped her rise fast: finding the right mentors, investing in herself, and taking bold action, even when fear crept in.

Monica’s story is proof that you already have everything you need, but when you remove alcohol, get the right support, and bet on yourself? That’s when the magic happens.

I’m humbled to be a part of Monica’s story. One of the bigger reasons she’s able to create this movement and dream company? After reading my book and listening to Euphoric the Podcast, she attended one of my retreats and enrolled in my Empowered AF 5X Coach Certification Program.

REFLECTION QUESTION

Monica shared that going alcohol-free allowed her to set better boundaries and truly get to know herself. What boundaries do you need to establish to thrive?

There have been 3 seismic shifts in my life, and ditching alcohol was absolutely one of them. And within 12 months, I took a leap. After 25 years in corporate, I decided it's time to follow my own vision, and I started my own business. It was so exciting, and I never would have done it had I still had all the anxiety and really been held down by what alcohol was doing to me. So having ditched that, I felt liberated to be able to take a next huge step in my life.” - Monica Hardy

“You already have everything you need to be a successful entrepreneur. And yes, add in community, and add in the wonderful certification program that I went through with Karolina. So thank you for that. I mean, definitely go get that. But really, getting grounded in knowing that you have incredible assets based on your experience, really getting grounded in your story – I really feel like knowing your history and your story, so many people can benefit from that. When I look at my own story, successfully changing careers and then also taking the big leap to leave corporate and that stability of a regular paycheck and really take the big leap to go out on my own, I knew I could do it because I had something of value.”  - Monica Hardy
