This ancient wisdom helped Lisa make drastic changes from her marriage, career, and outward expression, as well as her relationship with alcohol. It was a true spiritual awakening! Lisa also shares some powerful goddess practices and rituals you can integrate into your life for deeper alignment with who you are and who you want to become.



Making the life you want the life you have

Have you ever felt stuck in your life, whether in your career, relationship, health, or your life as a whole? Almost like you’ve reached a plateau, but part of you knows there is something bigger out there?

Lisa Marie Rankin helps women walk through this unfulfilling, static place to live a fuller, more authentic life. In our society, we are overly burdened by expectations. We’re taught to graduate high school with good grades, get a Bachelor’s degree, and climb the ladder as we build our dream career. Lisa followed this track, landing a job in corporate America, was married by 30 and had two young children by the age of 33. In our culture this is the definition of a successful life path, but for Lisa it felt false and scripted. She was the puppet in someone else’s play.

Taking stock of her life, Lisa noticed that she was looking to the external world for inner peace, completely outsourcing her power.

Lisa brought change into her life and stepped out of this cookie-cutter way of living. The following years were a roller coaster of divorce, pursuing her passion for writing by starting a blog, returning to her love of yoga, becoming an Ayurvedic wellness coach, and shifting to an alcohol-free way of living.

Lisa started to live the life SHE had always wanted to live, one filled with creativity, authenticity, and joy.

After her divorce, Lisa began to get curious about herself. A concept that kept resonating with her was this idea of being a goddess. In her exploration, she found a desire to share with others the message that Ayurveda has for each of us, which is that we are all divine. 

In Lisa’s book The Goddess Solution, she shows women how these beautiful ancient goddesses are a spiritual framework for navigating everyday life.

Let’s explore Parvati for example - a gorgeous Hindu goddess of love and devotion who offers wisdom around relationships. Parvati reminds us that we attract the energy we emit. When we focus on becoming a sovereign goddess and taking responsibility for our own energy, we begin to attract more of what we want in our lives.

What attributes or qualities do you want in a partner? Do you yourself possess those qualities? If not, how are you going to start cultivating them?

It’s time to take your power back. Understanding these different goddesses gives us access to what's possible from within. You are the goddess. 

The power of ritual to transform and reconnect with our feminine energy

Having rituals is an innate aspect of being human. Routines and structure provide a deep sense of purpose, belonging, and certainty that so many of us crave. 

Coming home to a glass of wine each night or going out with friends every weekend can be a form of ritual, but there are an abundance of other, healthier rituals that can support us in becoming our highest self without causing our mind, body, and spirit harm.

There are so many powerful practices and cycles you can practice to reconnect with yourself and your divine feminine. You can use the power of the new moon as a time to set meaningful intentions or you can honor the rhythm of your menstrual cycle as a practice of supporting your physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual life.

In Ayurveda, dawn and dusk are known as liminal times, meaning the space between spirit and matter is at its thinnest. In these times, our consciousness is thought to be most vulnerable, so it's important to integrate supportive practices into your morning and evening such as a meditation, a hygiene routine, journaling, hydrating, avoiding technology, or practicing yoga.

Ayurveda teaches us that how we spend our mornings is how we live our lives, and how we end our days represents how we are going to die. Each one of these practices has a season of life and growth as well as a time of death, reflection, looking inward and taking pause.

Think about your own life. What rituals are you practicing? Are you even aware of them or are they automatic? Do they empower you? Are there more supportive practices that you can begin that align more with who you are and want to become?
