Episode 275: What 2.5 Years of Trying to Conceive Taught Me: 8 Raw and Divine Lessons I Wish I Knew Sooner Part 2
This is the second installment of a two-part episode detailing the deeply personal and divine lessons I’ve learned since my husband and I started trying to conceive.
In Part 1, I laid the groundwork of our story, including how it began and why we moved away from conventional medicine to a more holistic approach.
In Part 2 of this vulnerable two-part series, I’m sharing the next layer of raw and divine wisdom I’ve uncovered through 2.5 years of trying to conceive. From the outside, it may look like a fertility story… but at its core, it’s about self-worth, intuition, healing, and radically redefining what it means to care for yourself.
Over the past 2.5 years, we’ve done it all: from medical testing and major dietary changes to detox protocols, sauna therapy, and even switching the kind of water we drink. At one point, we were actually drinking psyllium husk everyday. It was disgusting.
We have invested so much money, time, and energy into our dreams to become parents. And at times, it’s easy to wonder: is this actually going to work? Do I even deserve to care for myself in such a fundamental way?
Of course, the goal is to have a baby. But it’s not all about the baby. It’s also about reclaiming self-worth, loving ourselves, and honoring our health on a cellular level, because there is no better investment.
Thank you so much for the love you shared after last week’s episode. It made my day hearing from you. I hope today’s conversation speaks to you and lifts you up just as much.
IN THIS EPISODE:
Why healing rituals aren’t a chore—they’re an act of devotion
How I’m using hypnosis to unearth subconscious and generational patterns, including inherited beliefs and family trauma
The real (and rocky) impact this journey had on our intimacy and marriage
The importance of the kind of language we use and who we surround ourselves with when en route to our goals
Why investing in my health has challenged everything I thought I knew about money, self-worth, and what it means to fundamentally take care of myself
If you're on your own journey to conceive—or navigating any season of deep personal transformation—this episode will crack your heart open in the most healing way.
REFLECTION QUESTION
In what ways are you currently honoring or neglecting your physical health, and how does your investment in yourself reflect your sense of self-worth?
“Taking care of yourself is a sacred honor and a radical luxury that should be afforded to everybody – really respecting and taking care of yourself. And this starts out even when we reevaluate our relationships with alcohol.” - Karolina
“There's this saying – I know Tony Robbins says it a lot. I'm not sure if he got it from somewhere else. When you're healthy, you have a thousand dreams, but when you're not healthy, you have one dream, and that's to become healthy again. Even though this has been kind of new territory for me to really feel and soak up that I am deserving of taking care of myself, and I'm deserving of honoring my body, it's definitely been this lesson, and I have shifted so much of what I believe is a worthy spend or a worthy investment of my time and energy now.” - Karolina
